Uniting progress
In 2011, we marched across Sri Lanka to raise funds for the Tellippalai Cancer Hospital. Following its success, we launched a new mission to fund a second hospital, deep in Sri Lanka’s South – Karapitiya Trail Cancer Hospital.
Even the smallest donation from you would go a long way towards making this project a reality.
The dream
Trail is a walk of solidarity that aims to raise funds for cancer treatment facilities in Sri Lanka. Founded in 2011 by Nathan Sivagananathan and Sarinda Unamboowe under the Colours of Courage Trust, it seeks to unite the nation post-civil war in the fight against cancer.
‘Trail 2011’ raised USD 2.6 million for the Tellippalai Trail Cancer Hospital in the North. With rising cancer deaths reported at the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, there is an urgent need for expansion to accommodate more patients.
In response, ‘Trail 2016-the Walk Back’ was initiated to raise USD 5 million for a specialized cancer facility at Karapitiya. As we work on the hospital’s construction, we invite you to join our fight against cancer by donating or sponsoring materials.
A cause, that is personal
