Angelo Mathews
Angelo Mathews is the current captain of the Sri Lanka Cricket team. Angelo made his debut for Sri Lanka in 2003 in the under-19s when he was only 16 years old, and in November 2008 he made his international debut in a One Day International against Zimbabwe.
Matthew’s is a middle-order batting all-rounder and arguably one of Sri Lanka’s best finishers. He is known for his consistent medium pace bowling and compact batting technique. He was a key member of the Sri Lankan team that won the 2014 World Twenty20 championship and was part of the team that made the final of the 2011 Cricket World Cup and 2012 World Twenty 20 championship.
Along with his contributions to Sri Lankan cricket we are also able to witness his generosity and compassion through his contributions to the community through his philanthropic work. We are proud to have him as an Ambassador for Trail 2016.
